How I work
Providing integrative care with meaningful results.
Each patient’s unique pattern of symptoms requires an individual solution
We get to know you inside and out
During your initial consultation, we will spend 30 minutes going over your health history in depth. This will be followed shortly after by a 30-45 min in-clinic acupuncture treatment. I encourage you to share any labs or blood work that may be relevant.
The Treatment
We create a customized treatment for you, using a range of Chinese medicinal therapies. Acupuncture and other modalities including moxa, gua sha, cupping and massage may be used. Herbs can also be paired with acupuncture to enhance your treatment.
The Plan
We create your treatment plan to maximize both effectiveness and time. When you leave your first treatment, you will have a clear idea of how many sessions you will have, a customized supplement plan (if appropriate), nutritional and lifestyle advice and a realistic assessment of how we can help you.
Good to know Before you go
Our in depth 75 minute intake is where we get to know you.
We take the utmost care when sourcing supplements and providing acupuncture.

Some questions you may have
Here at Peninsula Naturopathic Clinic, we have given this much thought and are committed to reopening our clinic safely, for those who need acupuncture treatments. I will continue to offer virtual wellness consultations, while seeing some patients in-person. In order to open safely, we have created now policies and procedures both for our clinical team and our patients, which you can read about here.
Most of our patients see us weekly; however, each case is unique. I will craft a clear treatment plan for you and will tell you how often you should have treatment. Everyone responds to treatment differently so your results will depend on your particular situation. There are certain issues that can be addressed in a visit or two; other cases might require more treatments until your goal is met. I will be able to guide you on the results you can expect. Often, patients will notice relief from a specific symptom straight away, though we may need more time to work on the underlying root of the issue.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let the Front Desk (250) 655-1665 know as soon as you can by phone or by emailing info@myacuwellness.com. We do have a 24-hour cancellation policy, so appointments altered within 24 hours of the scheduled treatment time will result in a fee.
We do not process insurance in-house; however, we are happy to provide you with a receipt that has the necessary coding for you to submit to your provider. We recommend checking with your insurance company to see if you are covered for acupuncture and, if so, what specific conditions your insurance company covers acupuncture for.
